Hotels by the coast and in cities, as well as restaurant chains, are looking for reinforcements for their dynamic, young, and friendly teams. We are primarily looking for chefs and pizza chefs with at least 1–2 years of work experience and good English-language skills. Other positions are mainly available seasonally, especially at the beginning of the summer season.

Positions are also available for couples.

We also accept applications from couples provided that both partners apply as chefs, or one partner works as a chef while the other works as a waiter/waitress or hotel cleaner.

Applicants are expected to be young, energetic, and presentable (up to 35 years of age), have experience in the hospitality industry, and be able to start work flexibly.

Accommodation is provided in the hotel or in a separate apartment. However, in most cases, accommodation must be paid for, at a cost of approximately €300–€520 per month.

1. Salary

Employees over the age of 20 earn from €14.71 gross per hour, including full official employment registration and holiday pay. Working 38 hours per week can result in approximately €2,235 gross per month.

For experienced and high-performing chefs, the salary may be higher, up to around €17.66 per hour, which can result in earnings of up to €2,684 gross per month.

Indicative starting hourly wages:
€14.99–€17.99 gross/hour: waiters/waitresses, dishwashers, hotel cleaners, kitchen assistants, etc. In the Netherlands, wages may in certain cases also depend on the employee’s age.

2. Holiday pay

We pay 18% holiday pay: 8% is paid weekly, while an additional 10% is saved and can be received by the employee during their holiday, in the event of sick leave, or when the employment relationship ends.

3. Working hours and pay

Employees are paid only for the hours they actually work.

4. Weekly payment

Payment is made weekly, on Thursdays and Fridays, and all hours worked are paid.

5. Weekend allowance

At some workplaces, there is an additional 20% payment on Saturdays and 25% on Sundays.

6. Tips

Many of our employees also receive tips from guests, averaging €200–€400 per month.

7. BSN registration

We help you apply for a BSN number and assist with the related administrative procedures in the Netherlands. We will arrange the appointment with you when you arrive.

8. Health insurance

In the Netherlands, employers generally do not cover health insurance, so everyone must choose their own insurance. If you do not yet have insurance, we can provide HollandZorg insurance for €38.49 per week.
